The organizing committee members Roberta Zoppi (FCTUNL), Giulia Trimaglio (IPBS) and Ana Momčilović (LUMC), received support from Helen Williamson (Horizons Unleashed Ltd) and Daniel Spencer (Ludger). The event was hosted by Yoann Rombouts and Giulia Trimaglio at IPBS in Toulouse. During the first three days the ESRs were introduced to theoretical and methodological aspects of glycoimmunology by experts in the field, next to a statistics training. Another day was dedicated to interactive dissemination and outreach activities including fun activities in the city of Toulouse. Our “Glycocan meets Toulouse” action was well received by passers-by. Finally, on Friday, the ESRs had the opportunity to exchange their thoughts and future plans about their career development with different professionals from both academia and industry who followed diverse career paths.
