Open Day: Onderwijs- en Wetenschapsdag 2016, LUMC Leiden, The Netherlands
On October 23 the Center for Proteomics and Metabolomics participated in the LUMC Education and Science Day (Onderwijs- en Wetenschapsdag 2016). Together with their colleagues from the Glycomics lab, GlyCoCan ESRs were actively involved in the planning and organizing the booth, a poster showing the principles of biomarker research within GlyCoCan among other projects, as well as promoting the EU as our funding body. Different activities were prepared to interact with children/families that visited the booth, such as paper chromatography, searching for difference in mass spectral profiles from diseased and healthy people’s plasma glycans, and videos and material explaining and visualizing analytical methods for a general public.
